The Brief
After over 149 years of providing healthcare services to the community of Richmond, Access Health & Community were looking to revitalise their historic church street building. The redevelopment of Access Health's Church Street building was driven by a vision to reimagine healthcare delivery for the Richmond community and aims to create an innovative medical centre, fostering patient growth, quality of service and employee wellbeing.
The Approach
Our approach for this project began with an extensive stakeholder engagement process. This process involved a series of workshops, interviews, patient and employee surveys, and community outreach sessions in order to capture a broad set of views about what values Access Health may bring to the wider Richmond community. From this collaborative process, we synthesized a comprehensive list of aspirational and functional requirements, serving as the foundation for our built environment response. We sought to create a space that not only reflects Access Health's commitment to excellence but also fosters a sense of community and wellbeing for patients and employees alike.
The Outcome
The culmination of our efforts is a revitalized Access Health & Community office—a beacon of innovation and excellence in the heart of Richmond. From its modern aesthetic to its patient-centered design, every element of the redesigned office reflects Access Health's commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services that meet the needs of the community.
With its welcoming atmosphere, state-of-the-art facilities, and emphasis on employee wellbeing, the redesigned office serves as a hub for healing, collaboration, and community engagement.
